IDS (UK) was formed in January 2002 to enhance and complement the activities of the parent company, based in Italy.  The role of IDS (UK) is to further develop IDS markets in the UK, Northern Europe and North America.  IDS (UK) has already secured contracts with the UK MOD, several of its prime defence contractors and a major Department of Defence organisation near Washington in the USA.  With turnover increasing year-on-year, IDS (UK) is a growing force in electromagnetic modeling in the UK and overseas.

The Company’s range of experience and expertise has resulted in a customer base ranging from the Ministry of Defence of various countries, government research agencies,  several of its prime contractors and other commercial companies. In each case, IDS has either sold its advanced EMI and signature control design software package (Ship Electromagnetic Design Framework) or has acted in a consultancy role.

The current focus for the UK office is to promote its capability and the IDS software tool set within the UK and international market places.
